Apprentice Mechanic (Agriculture)

Location: Strathalbyn - SA

Hours: Full Time (38 hours per week)

The right person will be madly in love with Tractors, Mowers, Harvesters and other Agriculture equipment.

Working as Agricultural Mechanical Technician you would inspect, service and repair a range of mechanical and electrical systems on agricultural equipment such as the engine, transmission, driveline, steering and suspension systems.

Responsibilities of an Apprentice Agriculture Motor Mechanic are:

  • Follow repair procedures on, brake systems, Steering mechanisms, transmissions, engines, and other parts associated with Agricultural Equipment
  • Complete routine maintenance: including oil change, battery check, lubricating components and replacing worn parts

Key Requirements of a Motor Mechanic (Agriculture) Apprentice:

  • Commitment to approx. 4 Year Apprenticeship
  • You must be physically fit, reliable and able to pass a drug & alcohol test
  • Must have or be willing to obtain a police check
  • Must hold a current drivers License and reliable transport
  • Must be passionate about repairing & servicing Tractors etc
  • Certificate 2 in an Automotive Mechanical Trade (Pre-Apprenticeship)
  • Must have great mechanical aptitude
