Statewide Group Training has a position available for an Apprentice in Commercial Cookery

Typical Responsibilities of a Commercial Cookery Apprentice:

  • Participate in safe food handling practises
  • Maintain the quality of perishable dishes
  • Communicate in the workplace
  • Prepare sauces, dips and accompaniments
  • Identify hazards, assess and control safety risks
  • Prepare food to meet special dietary requirements

Key requirements of an Apprentice in Commercial Cookery

  • Commitment to approx. 4 year apprenticeship
  • You must be physically fit, reliable and able to pass a drug & alcohol test
  • Must have or be willing to obtain a police check
  • Must be willing to work on weekends
  • Must be passionate about the hospitality and food industry
